Whoa, some big names failed latest VB100 tests...

Some really big names in AV failed the latest Virusbulletins VB100 test.
Among them AhnLab, ArcaVir, F-Prot, F-Secure, McAfee, MicroWorld, Secure Resolutions and Unasoft.

Results here!

See if you're REALLY protected...

Virus Bulletin scores for February 2005

Just to note, that the only leading vendor that failed was McAfee. Those others are a bit down the totem pole and except for F-Secure/F-Prot (which use the same engine), I haven't heard of them before. Authentium also (or at least did) use the F-Prot engine, but they also use a 2nd heuristics engine that probably saved them in int these tests. I wonder what engines those other vendors use.

F-secure is pretty big in corporate side of things, especially in Europe!

Hmm... I thought Sophos was the leading vendor in Europe? Panda is Asia and Kaspersky is Russia? That would make for a good article :light:
