Oddly, I can drive a mile in any direction from the farm and not have cell phone reception... but at the farm, I have excellent reception.
I'm still debating whether or not to get a land line.. If I don't, no internet.. but I still have internet access at work. It's a tough decision to pay for a phone, just for a really crappy internet connection.

You know those horror movies or thrillers where if something happens at your place nobody will even know or hear it ? Yeah it's the only thing I can picture when you say farm.

If you don't have an internet connection at home, how are you going to argue with all of the people who divide by zero and try to travel faster than the speed of light?

Yeah, we just recently had broadband become available here. Satellite is OK, especially compared to nothing else available 🙂

Welcome to Hicksville. Population - You.

At least the "women" outnumber you. Go find some farmer's virgin daughter and spoil her purity.

I thought you said "spoil her putty" at first glance as I scrolled past. I had to go back and read it, hoping for some clarification. And to humor me, could you please use the phrase "spoil her putty" in a future post? And PM me with a link when you do.

If you have cell service then you should be able to get hooked up with a 128k connection, AFAIK.

Better than dialup .....

I wonder what the costs are through verizon. It's going to be a pita to share 128K over 3 computers.
