Whoa! Mailed Blockbuster DVDs back yesterday afternoon...get email this morning new ones have shipped!

I get the same thing with Netflix because there is a distribution center less than 10 miles from here.

The first two months I had my Netflix membership I got turnaround times like that. Eventually it got to where it would take 4-5 days turnaround time which I thought was ridiculous considering I live close to the distribution center and the movies were being mailed from that location. I cancelled it, thinking about giving nutbuster a try now.

The evelopes are scanned at the post office and they know when movies are in the mail. More and more companies are starting to try this type of service.

i tried nutbuster and their turnaround was HORRIBLE. id end up getting one shipment a week...netflix hasnt done me wrong yet.

i live in vegas so a distribution center's distance shouldnt be a problem

actually when the post office scans them in (the barcode), the company is notified so new DVD's can ship to you quicker.

Blockbuster was sending me movies from a distribution center two states away and it was taking forever to get a movie or return one. Netflix just opened a center one hour from my house and I am going back to them.

Someone should setup a web site to record the latest turnaround times by zip code, for both netflix and blockbuster (and get money from ads from both).
