OK I was looking to buy a fan off of SVC and noticed this one:

http://svc.com/al9025-4ld2.html

Now, if you've purchased several fans and actually cared about its specs, then the above mentioned should open your eyes. 12 dBa AND 38.4 CFM? Seems a bit too optimistic IMHO.

Love to hear your thoughts on this....

Don't waste your time....published fan specs are determined by a salesman, not by reality. Evercool fans are usually pretty good, none-the-less.

Umm... what's with the voltage rating being "<22V DC"..?

How are you going to put 22 V over that thing?

I bet they switched the voltage and dBa... 22dBa and 12 volts make a lot more sense...

 Bingo.

I doubt its 22dBa either but that does sound a lot more realistic.

Evercool and Thermaltake must use test CFM versus DBA the same way.

My experience with both brands is that the "claimed" CFM versus DBA is just crazy.

If that fan is like all the EverCool's that I have seen the rating is laughable at best.

One the badge of one of my Thermaltake fans, it has the words 'EVERCOOL Made in china'

Some of these Thermaltakes are rebadged Evercools perhaps?
