Whoa, GT4 screen shots..

screenshots look pretty good
playstation graphics could use some fsaa, jaggies are everywhere.
if there were no jaggies it would be much better.
doubtful the situation will improve until ps3 comes out.
even if they don't, surely sony's marketing machine will make the ps3 a sales leader.
remember when ps2 launched, there weren't any good games for it for more than a year?

maybe its just that particular camera mode, but the background is way too blury/out of focus imo. good graphics it appears otherwise.

Yup. It seems they put a lot of attention to the cars, and then completely forgot about the backgrounds.

It frightens me with the Skyline badge - please tell me that it isn't the R35 coupe but instead some retarded addition to the line?

Edit: Oh hell, I did some research and it is. They also appear to have dumped the sedan.
Damn you, Japan, you took the only car that you made which still had character and turned it into yet another podmobile.

I could've SWORN the G35 was a 350Z derivative - so now the Skyline is a 350Z derivative? This reeks of GM.

/me retreats to the confines of North American and European cars.

1. IIRC, the G35 is NOT the Nissan Skyline. It is of the same platform as the upcoming Skyline, has the same suspension, but that is it.

2. The graphics are blurry, but think about it. it is a PS2. Those things are capable of only so much. The motion blur in the background allows them to adaquately apply as much detail in the foreground as the VPU will allow .

1. And looks like it. That's all it needed to break the last cool car Japan had. Text <== Doesn't show the coupe, but you get the idea.
2. It's one of the replay modes. The guy said it himself. GT blurs stuff in replay mode to "look cool" or somthing.

Sure looks like it. The blur effect on the first shot is very neat but otherwise, um, those screens bite.

The regular game play isn't going to look that good. GT has always done this, dressed up the screenshots somehow to make them look like the graphics will be amazing. Heck, if you watch the opening sequence on GT2, the graphics look pretty sweet, until you start playing the game.
