WHOA check this fan out

Great specs yes, but true? Not possible IMO...the cfm's and especially the dba's. Tell me how you like them though as I seek new "uber-quiet" fans everyday. Plz do post your results.

I've got a few of them. While they're not silent, they are definitely quiet for the air they push. The main thing I like is that you do not hear any bearing noise - the only sound you hear is that of air moving.
BTW, they're only $10 at Directron. 🙂

hmmmm....interesting.

The aluminum frame helps cut down on a fair bit of noise. You'll still get standard air noise, but you should have less noises that might be attributable to vibrations and the like. Overall, I've heard good things about those fans.

If it's an Evercool, they're not bad once you undervolt them to around 3-4v. Not Nexus quiet, but quiet enough.

??? Would they even start?

Wow I'm surprised we actually got some first-person feedback on these...but from what I've read the aluminum fans aren't that bad actually. I just can't use them in my case because the screwhole is one solid hole I believe.

I was about to ask the same thing. I've heard that many 120mm fans wont start (or start very slowly) when you undervolt them to 7V.

Yep....they're not a bad fan and they do have a solid mount hole.

There are always ways to mount them if they are what you want though....
My son has a 92mm fan of this type on his Thermalright SI-97. To mount it, I dug up some old Thermalright wire clips and bent them to fit.

Performance will be similar to the Globe fan found here.
