Whoa, brawl at FIU/Miami

Just showed highlights of it in the Texas game. Benches cleared, guys were getting punched, kicked, stomped, ganged up on, helmets were being used as weapons..caused a 20 minute delay in total. That's about as bad a sports brawl as I can remember.
Kind of like Pacers/Pistons minus the fans but with 4 times the number of players that are twice the size.

Was really bad even for something you'd see on the streets of east LA..sans weapons.

I turned on ESPN, they are showing it right now actually

Wow, fortunately people are probably going to receive proper punishment instead of a say, oh, a 5 game suspension.

Just saw that. Don't know who started it, but the players I saw stomping repeatedly on others and the player who took his helmet off and was whaling away with it were all Miami. Not a good thing for that program.

According to a report I read, I missed seeing an injured FIU player come onto the field swinging a crutch at Miami players. That would have been special.

Quizas. Miami is most likely out of the running for a BCS slot anyway.

Now, if this really were UF, I bet we would see those 5 (or less) game suspensions you mentioned...Then again, a big program like Miami still has a lot of revenue riding on the season, despite their record...so, we'll see

I'm putting the over/under on the number of suspensions at 17. That was just a massive fight with helmets swinging, fists swinging, punches thrown, players getting body-slammed, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear a couple of players thrown off of teams.

Why do you get into a brawl with FIU if you're Miami though? That's just stupid.

I was at the game and it was interesting

Every player who left the sidelines should be suspended for at least one game, and the idiot announcer who said he was about to go down the elevator and join the fight should be fired. Not just because he's an idiot, but because he sucks.
