Whoa, any Texans seen the anti-Perry political ad with him in a speeding vehicle?

Holy monkey, I bet that dumbass just lost any chance he had. What a complete asshole.

Even if the tape is edited he had no business saying what he did, no way it could have been that out of context.

Dashcam shows vehicle pull over (female officer)
Perry gets out of passenger side and tells her to just let them go on (and apparently gets back into the vehicle)
She is writing on her pad with the driver standing there, Perry gets back out and asks if she wants to see his ID.
She says no
He asks her if she is writing a ticket
She says no, writing a warning
Perry says to quit wasting their time and let them get on the road

Complete asshole :|

Hope it comes back to bite him in the ass. I never liked the guy.

I love when he asks her if she wants to see HIS ID. She was only giving the driver a warning, I think I would have quickly changed that to a citation. Of course he probably had her fired anyway. I hate power abusing politicians.

Yeah I don't like Sanchez either. He has all those "Hunters for Sanchez" signs around. I bet he wants to outlaw everything other than shotguns :disgust:

He was just like "I'm RICK PERRY! How DARE you write us a ticket!"

Good move by the Sanchez campaign though on the timing.

The Phill Grahm ads are not bad either. They pretty accuse of Sanchez of trying to buy the election by spending $60+ million on it.

Perry will still win. Hes leading in every poll Ive seen.

Its going to come down to picking the lesser of two evils, and Perry is by far the lesser of two evils. Both are political scum though.

$60million down the crapper. Perry has spent what? $9million last I looked(a month or so ago).

Im much more interested in the Senate race. I oh so hope Kirk loses.

seen the one with barrientos stumbling around on dashcam at his DUI arrest? that one is awesome.

as for sanchez, its partly because of that fscker that UT still doesn't have a museum for the blanton collection, and will probably be doomed to an ugly gov't block-house when one does get built. :|

Haven't seen it but I keep getting big ads for Tony Sanchez in the mail. They are spending a hellava lot more money than I have ever seen spent for a governors race. Anyway, I hate Republics so Sanchez already has my vote and the ads are only wasting money.

Quit whining...

...we folks in Cali get to choose between...
Gray Davis...who simply said "he follows the rules" when asked whether people who donate to his campaign will get seats in the University of California Regents board (not to mention the allowing of all dem Energy companies to bilk us)

and Bill Simon...who's company he ran is under investigation for FRAUD.

well the one guy's company was under investigation for laundering drug money... hes running as a democrat but gave heavily to shrub and got a seat on the UT regents and then vetoed what would have been a dynamic, organic pavillion for the blanton collection from one of the world's leading architecture firms, causing the dean of architecture to resign.
perry is corrupt... or something. i wish i could just cast an "against" vote rather than a "for" vote.

The Democrat running had a bank that laundered drug, money, later had to be bailed out by the state, and his insurance company used agressive tactics towards people, the same tactics he says hes against. He also tried to give Enron favors.

The Republican, has been accused of payoffs and being an asshole.

Speaking of this campaign. Has anyone seen the political add that accuses Tony Sanchez of not voting in a recent election?

I am not too keen on either candidate.

What's sad is both major party candidates are a$$hole$. Knowing what has been written about both of them leaves me no one to vote for. Hey, I have an idea, since I'm a Texas resident I'll start my write in campaign here on Anandtech. Techy goes to Austin. Just write in my name "Tom Cepak" on the ballot.
