I've never seen anything load so fast..
It's quiet also..
 
Hmmm, that doesnt seem right. I mean, the 15k disks are fast, but that is way beyond what you would expect for disk transfer speeds. But nice anyways, if I had the money, I would run SAS disks.

I think he meant Gbits, not GBytes.

3Gb/s = ~ 375MB/s
 
Oddly enough the burst speed on my pair of Hitachi 15k sas drives in raid 0 is lower then the average read. I'm guessing it may have more to do with my crappy $60 Promise controller card then the drives themselves; but there it is. My burst is around 95mb/s and my average read is in the 150mb/s range.
