I just watched it last night courtesy of Netflix. I had no idea what it was about going in, my brother just said "must see". Amazing performances by Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt. I'm kinda wishing I hadn't sent it back so fast because I would like to see it again to pick up stuff I missed.

Yeah, I really like it too. I don't know what I was expecting, but whatever it was, it was different. Wow... I don't think that made any sense.

I watched a couple times and kept getting more out of it. The music is very memorable too :)

wasn't it one of those circular things? bruce willis in the past started the string of events that lead to the reason they sent him back.

if bruce willis hadn't gone back and been in the looney bins with Brad Pitt, would there ever have been a 12 monkeys?

I like the snippet about how everytime you watch it, it different because you're different.

*************** SPOILER ***************

No, because the 12 Monkeys didn't have anything to do with the virus.

This movie, along with "Legends of the Fall" and "A River Runs Through It" really opened my eyes to the quality actor that Brad Pitt is. I never really gave him credit before these movies, but now I really enjoy his movies.

LoL, true.

He's still a very good actor. He can act and got the looks to go along with it. Who could've stopped him? :)

Yes, yes he is. I have enjoyed Terry Gilliam's work since he was in Monty Python's Flying Circus. If you like this move, see Brazil, Time Bandits and the Adventures of Baron Munchausen for more of his quirky visual styling and direction. He definitely has a distinctive style to his films.

He didn't get "noticed" until Thelma and Louise. Anything prior to that is irrelevant :D
