This could be pretty good. From what I heard it was going to be them training a new crew (after the new crew bug them enough to do it). There was word of Jack Black and recently Rogan and Apatow.

Unfortunately, no. When Activision and Blizzard merged, they decided to no longer support this game. The devs are still looking for a publisher and Sony (who owns the Ghostbuster IP) is talking about trying to release the game at the same time as the 25th Anniversary of Ghostbusters next year.

I hope that this doesn't suck either. I think the "next generation" concept could go either way.

Even Zuul couldn't have thought up such an evil idea. I'm afraid this movie is going to be absolutely terrible.

I smell another Indiana Jones-level cockup.

That movie made $780 million worldwide at the Box Office.

So the real question is:

Are they out of good ideas?

or

Are they using the crappy ones (and hopefully saving the good ones) while we're all still willing to go spend money on them?

If Ray Stantz can think up the Stay Puft Marshmellow man, he can think up this too.
