Who would have thought a movie from the 1980s would predict current events (Cubs, Trump)

The Simpsons predicted a Trump presidency back in 2000 as well. Of course, after having 700 shows they've basically predicted everything possible at some point.

It is kinda sad. Last year I got all excited about the Back to The Future Day, and I wasted a lot of brain cycles comparing their predictions of 2015 with actual 2015 when really their best prediction of the future was the alternative future where Trump rules everything and scumbags are ruining the planet.

Ok so let's fire up the delorean, head back to 1955 and fix this shit.
We can't. Because this election is actually the result of Trump tampering with the present from the future. We could go to that future to stop him, but that would just be a future of this new divergent timeline...

I've watched Back to the Future 2 many times, and don't remember a thing about Trump. I think that's one of those BS internet rumors that nobody has bothered to verify

edit: Oh, so I see they mean Biff? Eh... I guess

I think we just need to go back to January 2016 and kidnap Hillary, swing by 1876 and drop her off in a lawless, young Springfield, Illinois, then let Bernie win the primaries in 2016.

The press might speculate for a few days about how a major presidential candidate could disappear like that, but they'll get over it.

Some enterprising young journalist will eventually dig out an old front page newspaper from 1876 in her local Springfield library with a grainy photo of Hillary in an anachronistic pantsuit being escorted away by Sheriff Tannen. Something about diverting Pony Express deliveries to her frontier cabin, blah blah blah. But by then it will be too late and no one will believe it.

That could cause a major paradox!

Bob Gale has said they based alternate present Biff on Trump. It's easy to see-same hairstyle, a huge building with his name on it, and a lack of scruples.
