I don't know, but I can think of a few good bond villans. DeNiro, Benicio Del Toro, and Steve Buscemi should all have a shot 😀

Del Toro could do a good job I think. Would have to be careful to avoid a Sanchez like villian like in Licence to Kill. Steve Buscemi would be... interesting. Though I can't really see him doing it. DeNiro I can't see at all. As a henchman, perhaps, but I don't think he'd lower himself to that kind of role.

One actor I'd LOVE to see as a Bond villian is Denis Leary. No, seriously. If you've seen his more serious roles (well, and stuff like The Ref, Suicide Kings, Small Soldiers) then I'd hope you'd agree he could make a good master villian. My friend has a great idea for a Bond movie which features a very sophisticated villian, someone who realizes he must neutralize organizations like the CIA and MI6 before he can even begin to put his plan into full motion. Basically a villian who's learned from the mistakes of those who has gone before him and is doing something to correct it. I could really see him in that kind of role.

As for who would make a good next Bond, I can't really say. Not Viggo Mortensen, though. Charming, handsome, but lacks a certain sophistication to my eye. Of course they trained Connery and Lazenbe up from nothing to their roles, so anything is possible. Still, does not have the right look to me.

BTW, didn't Bronson say he's out after the next Bond? I'm pretty sure Judy Dench was out after the latest, which is a real shame as she was GREAT as M.

I think Buscemi and DeNiro would be a far cry from the villans of late who are all basically the same guy, different look, maybe different country. Del Toro is just good at playing crazy people who can maintain a level of sanity on the outside, which leads me to believe he would make a damn good Bond villan. Buscemi has such a small stature and not-so-evil look that he would be the perfect anti-villan, the guy who you can't quite believe is the bad guy but in the end is absolutely corrupt. DeNiro? I just like DeNiro and think he should be in a Bond movie for the hell of it 🙂

If George Clooney could get the english accent down I think he would make an excellent bond

#1- No Americans

Good, with that out of the way, pick a British, Irish, or Scottish actor. Maybe throw a Welshman in there.
