Who works for GeekSquad here?

QFT

If it was someone from ATOT it would have been a full HD video.

Heh, true. I stand corrected.

A horny geek who will never get laid in his life.

Did you watch the video? They have to read their statements from a piece of paper?? WTF kinda BS is that? They can't talk about what happened? They don't remember so they had to write down such simple statements and then read them? It actually sounds as if someone else wrote them for them.

terrible news for best buy and it's geek squad.

as much as I think the geek squad is a rip off, just another rule for them:

participants on duty will strictly be prohibited from any use of recording of their cellular phones, including but not limited to:

yadadadadada

you get the point.

to make better rules, someone out there has to break certain rules, or something has to happen like this.

you remember McDonald's? coffee spill. ofcourse they could have prevented this. but smart business will have lawyers standing by to make sure that "WHEN" things go bad, they will do whatever they can do make it right.

good luck everyone.

People get nervous and misspeak. This is why they HAVE written statements, and why witnesses tend to be prepped for testifying at a trial.

Why? Because lawyers are known to nitpick details like that. This is why you should talk with a lawyer anytime some legal starts to happen. You wouldn't want to say something that you think means one thing but legally means another now would you?

Yeah but they read it like it wasn't their words and like some dictating machine.

Thats what clued me into the fact that its probably been gone over by a lawyer or some such.

Heck I've heard rather mechanical readings of Dr. Suess by people that either haven't read or don't remember a particular book. Seriously get someone to read one for you, its hilarious... But make it something subtle, like Sneetches. Not as many tricks in that one.

For something more "Mature" try getting people to read lines from Hamlet. Most people are really bad at reading out loud.

Gone over by a lawyer? What...was the lawyer in 3rd grade? That's what the statement sounds like.

Those bitches sound like money grubbing whores. If you watch the LA Times video, their plot to extort money out of it is so vagrant. They're reading their ****** feelings off a paper ffs. Who the fvck reads their emotions of a paper? It's obviously plotted.

I mean, if the guy got caught doing the deed, punish him, but the settlement just makes me lose any sympathy for the bitches.

And publicizing the guy all over the media just screams scarlet letter. Yes, he fvcked up, but I don't think a little peep deserves having your life fvcked up over some media sensationalism. Fvck the news.

Maybe Best Buy should rename it to the Peek Squad.
