Who will it be?

  • Total voters

  • Poll closed .
I care that he's transmitting this incredibly dangerous message that the unitary executive is how the US govt is supposed to function. Of course with the current SC, I'm sure they'll allow it, so who cares.
He should know better because he is a lawyer, so's his wife. But like Tina Turner sang, "there's nothing worse than an educated fool."

Who's the better sell on Midwest rust belt indies?

Vance or Kamala?

Is Kamala going to bring these indies back into the fold?

They are voting for 2019 prices again not the actual Trump policy, which if actually implemented will march us straight into a major recession or even a depression. If there is no reasoning with these people then I reserve the right not to feel bad if/when the find out part comes to pass.

I agree but it's also maddening that Trump could simply do nothing, allow inflation to continue to slowly cool off (will never get back to 2019 prices tho) and simply take credit for it.

He could but I doubt he will. His protectionist streak is too strong and he's too fucking dumb to realize that he'd be sitting pretty. Screwing up a good situation and turning it into a disaster is something he is fairly experienced at.

I bet they don't want their 2019 wages and 2019 401k balances to go along with those 2019 prices.

They view their increased wages and wealth from the market as things they did not things that resulted from policy choices by the Democrats. Increased prices were done to them by Biden in their opinion so voting for Trump might undo that.

Assuming Trump follows through on many or most of his stated economic plans people are going to totally lose their shit when the consequences arrive.

It would be too damn late to do much about it other than vote blue in the 2026 midterms.

If Trump did everything on his economic docket (huge tariffs, trade wars, dollar devaluation, interest rates slashed to nothing, and deports 12M people) the possible economic consequences are nearly beyond imagination for anybody who didn't live through the Great Depression. Politically I'm not sure there would not be a legit revolution.

Maybe something like this needs to happen to shake people out of their hypnosis.

Republicans complain about DEI yet the continue their affirmative action for white guys by picking Vance. A practice they've continued since the founding of the country.

I guess women and people of color are not equipped for leadership
