I'm sure it's too early to guess but...My best guess is that it will be Hillary vs Giuliani. McCain might also be a likely contender.

I'm sorry, but it isn't going to make a big difference either way. Both parties have lost all respect for America and are out to advance their agenda. That is why this country's political process has gotten really downhill. We only have 2 choices, that is all. So pathetic.

Republican or Democrat, choose your flavor. Wow.

I don't really care who wins but I would be surprised to see the weak Democratic party come close to winning the election.

Would Like Allen to get the ticket, but at this point my guess would be:

McCain V. Clinton

Just a guess of course, however there are those within each respective party that do not want to see either one of them win the party ticket. A couple of examples of the aforementioned, Dems' fear: Clinton will cost party win Dear Hillary: Don't Run Nonetheless, if the party sees them as the strongest candidates they will pick them, and at this time, these two are for the most part the strongest candidates within the 08 polling. Granted, anything can happen between now and then.

Weak? losing by somewhere around 1% to a foe that has MILLIONS more in campaign funds and a corporate media disinformation campaign to a war president, hmm.

And yeah, they both suck. But lay off the crackpipe.

The popular vote was 3%. He had 286 EVs to Kerry's 252. Bush had 11% of the Democratic vote, while Kerry had 6% of the Republican. And even with the libs all up in arms about the war, he still won. I would vote for him this year even, unless there was a good independent. And yes, I do realize that he won't be running, just saying...

I am really a lot more interested in 2006 than I am in 2008. 2008 is a long time away. A lot of things can happen that will determine the choice of nominees. If "it's the economy stupid" again in 2008, and Bill Clinton is there saying Hillary is my type of Democrat, I wouldn't underestimate her chances.

Clinton vs. McCain is a McCain victory.

61% of white males voted for retard boy; they're certainly going to vote McCain over any chick, especially a 'Dumocrat' one.

The Dems need to run something looks and smells like Dumbya, without the stupidity. Someone who connects with the people and not the poeple.

3% is pretty small, relativly speaking. Better than the -0.5% he got in the 2000 elections, but still fairly small. If I remember, there hasn't been that close of a race since the 70's...and there hasn't been that close of a race for RE-election EVER. Bush won, no doubt about that, but it really was by the skin of his teeth.

Its funny that anyone really thinks Hillary Clinton is going to run. Sure, the Dems will run a really sh!tty candidate - Iowa will see to that - but it won't be Ms. Clinton. Of course, the Repubs won't run anyone better, so we'll be back to voting on Gawd, Gays, and Guns, as usual.

Personally, I'd like to see Mark Warner run. For those of you who don't know, he's the ex-Governer of Virginia, a Democrat. Virginia is one of the best run states - one of the few that is fiscally sound and in the black. He also accomplished this with help from a very bipartisan government. Southern Virginia is Red, Northern VA is very blue. Just the kind of man I'd like to see run. He'd win, too.

I don't think McCain is too popular with the current crop of Republicans. The voters would love him, but he'd never get widespread support from his own party. While he isn't exactly Michael Moore when it comes to the Bush administration, he's way too much of a free-thinker to get the nomination. It's not just the Republicans either, I'm not sure he'd have any better of a chance if he was a Democrat.

I'd prefer Powell/McCain
that crossed my mind before i posted. my thought on that was it would be easier and better timing for powell to become president after he got one foot in the door.
*edit*-included an after-thought

Do you really think a Democratic government is going to invade Iran, put 1000s of mostly innocent people in legal "limbo" in Gitmo, wiretap citizens without bothering to get court orders, etc? There are degrees of depravity, and the Republicans in your country are obviously far more "sick" and corrupt than are the Democrats. Democrats as a group or party aren't perfect, but they are clearly the morally preferable choice.

I wonder if a majority of female voters will decide to support Hillary.
