No, but the people who live there do. Maybe if the Dems could provide a message that would win over the rural and white working class voters, they could actually win the Presidency and both houses of congress and actually have a functional government that accomplishes something. Dem policies are actually more beneficial for most rural areas and working class voters than the Reps, but they dont seem to be able to convey that strongly enough to win votes.

The only message they need to hear is stop listening to preachers who tell you Democrats are the devil and stop listening to conservative media that tells you Democrats hate America.

They aren't exactly receptive to that message though. Maybe you'll have better luck spreading it.
 
The long game says not only somebody that can help win in '24, but who can also help retain in '28 and carry the torch in '32.

Although I imagine at least a few posting in this thread will be dead before then.

You can't really put that into a very short slogan like "Make America Great Again" and "Illegals are stealing your way of life". Simplistic hate and fear is what those people want to hear, seems to me.

I've heard that very message said many times (that Democratic policies are better for them). They don't seem to want to listen. They vote for people that put in a tax "reform" that boldly gave a huge fucking raise to the ultra-rich, and then Paul Ryan tells a fantastic story about some single Mom who will save enough to pay her 10 dollar (at the time) Netflix bill. They piss on them and don't bother to call it rain, and get their votes back in return.

In short, I don't blame the Democrats for not reaching rural voters. They don't have a choice but to keep trying though.

The George Floyd riots were far more than an "incident". Nevertheless, I absolutely, 100% agree with this. The Dems are so screwed if they pick Walz.
 
Seeing the Veepstakes going on with all the wild speculation about perceived weaknesses from different factions in the Democratic party makes it clear the sudden shift from Biden to Harris was a good thing. Imagine this crap going on with the top of the ticket for an open or brokered convention.
