He believes speaker wire makes a difference?
I was hoping for a less delusional VP.

Hopefully he was joking.
At least for analog applications a decent conductor with proper shielding will minimize noise and interference. Although you quickly get to diminishing returns on your money.

For digital cables if the signal gets there then it’s fine. You’d only need more expensive cables for excessively long runs.

Would have taken my chances with Shapiro over Walz's child food aid scandal.

"Walz fed kids" is an easy headline but not accurate at all. Poor choice IMO.

We have eight years to sort that out, before the man's integrity for governing comes into relevancy in a 2032 primary.
I hope there's nothing there. I expect a full and proper investigation.
I also don't care for 2024.

Stopping MAGA is all that matters. Walz has the good vibes, that's all that matters this year.

Vibes over everything, I guess. Let's go then.

So you prefer “Shapiro sexual harassment” running on FOX vs trying to feed kids?

Yup, run a hundred yards of untwisted pair cat5 and come talk to me about how wire types don't matter.

As a musician I hope he doesn't have vids on a number of subjects that kick off holy wars on sound-related forums...guitar amps vs modelers, wedges vs in-ears and so on.

:)

If possible misguidedness over speaker wire is the only fault of the vice president, I'll take it. His counterpart is out to to women into sammich-making incubators.

Of course there will be attempts to steal the election. They haven't even bothered to try to hide their intentions. Of course, they bleat about "protecting the election" after losing 99% of the court cases where they tried to claim 2020 was stolen. Best of my knowledge, the only one ongoing is the one where they tried to overturn it. They both lied about the Democrats stealing AND tried it themselves, and they continue to stand by the lie.

The only thing that will change this time is that they'll try to be more careful and learn from their mistakes in order to succeed at the theft.

Considering the EC bullshit and the cheating and voter intimidation and voter suppression in "certain areas" that will happen, Harris has to win by a lot to barely win by a little IMO.
Well, they could do it the Thai way.

It's a VP pick. What else do they really have to offer other than vibes?

It's not like he's personally directing policy or anything. He's there to stump for Harris, reiterate and reinforce her platform and, when elected, break ties in the Senate.

He is correct. Don't be so quick to judge without facts. This comes from someone who has purchased several high-end stereo components over my life.

Somebody (jokingly) tweeted that his book contained a passage mentioning that he'd once had ...intimate relations... with a couch, and it went viral, as things do on the internet.

It wouldn't be that funny, except the guy just really seems like the type that would be into that.
Then AP bought into it…”JD Vance never had sex with a couch.” Apparently oblivious to the fact that they couldn’t possibly know for sure if he ever had or not…then they quietly dropped it.
That would be using the correct speaker wire, not "quality".
Monster or nuthin!

I believe you are mistaken and conflating two different things.

The statement "Walz fed kids" is in reference to the free school meals bill he signed into law in 2023, which provides free school meals (breakfast + lunch) to all public school students in Minnesota, regardless of income.

The feeding our future fraud lawsuit is a separate matter that deals with misuse of Federal COVID-19 relief funds during 2020 and 2021. Specifically, a Minnesota-based nonprofit requested reimbursement for meals it did not actually serve to school-age students.

And wire having "sound" had been disproven over and over.

Purchasing things does not make you an expert. I've purchased far more than several high end components.

Wire is a religion at best.

If the biggest complaint about a VP candidate is his knowledge of speaker wires I think we're in pretty good shape.
