DeSantis’ greatest fear isn’t the Democratic nominee. It is Trump. Even if DeSantis wins the nomination, Trump will haunt every aspect of his campaign.
I don't think Trump is running whether he believes he is going to or not at this point in time. I think he'll somehow find it within himself to sit back and envision himself as 'king maker' -- no risk, all gain. Something Trump could swing. That's my thought, anyway, I could be wrong of course and you could be 100% correct.

I don’t think it matters if Trump runs or not, he will still be Desantis’ greatest obstacle.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if some people write him in even if he doesn't run. My hope is that he loses in the primary and people write him in anyway and he splits the republican vote a bit.

Wouldn't it be so interesting to have Liz Cheney run as a Democrat for Vice Prez. if only to draw away the moderates and independents that are totally fed up with Trump and his mob making a laughing stock of that once proud party of theirs.

The only way I see a republican win in 24 is either something major happens ( I have no idea what ) or republicans take over enough state & local election positions to steal the election.

It’s weird how people have been claiming this for the past three years and despite their predictions of Biden’s brain falling out or him dying or whatever during that time he’s won the democratic primary, won the presidency, and passed some of the largest, most consequential legislation in decades.

I guess you think this is Weekend at Bernie’s 3 or something but eventually you might want to consider you’re wrong.
He's getting worse year by year, eventually it hits high gear and to me it looks like high gear has already arrived. He's still got 2 more years to go and he's going to go another 4 after that? ... Yeah. Okay. Sure! Poor bastard will be lucky to walk out of the White House under his own power.

My guess is DeSantis and Trump cut a deal where Trump supports him in exchange for a promise of a shield from prosecution.

That would certainly be a match made in hell. Here’s hoping Crist wins and DeSantis gets serious jail time for human trafficking.

Can't believe people actually believe this crap, always sounds like some weird deflection from the fact that trump's mind is seriously messed up.

So after three years of people saying the exact same thing and Biden tap dancing on them NOW you're sure he's about to collapse. lol.

Remember when everyone predicted that Biden would fall apart at the debate because he is brain damaged and then when he wiped the floor with Trump they all decided there must have been some conspiracy to help him?

These people are immune to evidence.

He will run because he sees it as a way to prevent being indicted

Democrats have done best with young (40s) and charismatic candidates. Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama.
We're in the polar opposite now, and regardless of Biden holding on thus far... he is by far the most likely person to not walk out of the White House.
Age is, and should be, a concern.

To deflect to the General election and compare him to a Republican is absurd.
This liability is not something that we should cling to.

I think if I were a conservative at a minimum I would want to have a conversation about how we managed to lose the presidency by seven million votes to a guy with ‘clear dementia’.
Um, duh, the election was stolen, that's how. It's a self-supporting theory.

Well, that's coming from the same person who thinks Manchin would be a great replacement for Biden.

I agree. Biden is too old to run again. Trump is too old to run again

There's no way to predict who WILL actually run for the 2024 election cycle. Too early to gauge candidates' interest or the support of the people. (or the moneyed king makers in the background)

That would be the smart move, but Trump has never been known to be overly intelligent. I just don't know that Trump is capable of watching someone else in the spotlight and not trying to tear them down, or at a minimum make it all about him. Trump's support is too treacherous to be relied on, one bad day in which he loses a court case and Trump might spend an entire rally mumbling about how the Republican's can't be trusted, that every Republican is a RINO because the Judges he paid for are not siding with him. Biggerest hoax in the history of mankind! It is so Biggerer you would not believe it. All to bring him down.
