Who will be the Democratic nominee for President at the 2024 General Election?

With Biden already clearly suffering from dementia, it is obvious he won't be in any fit state to contest the next Presidential election, so that rules him out and normally the Vice President would be in the box seat to be the Presidential candidate, but Kamala Harris is astonishingly inept and about as popular as Monkey Pox, so we get the crazy situation where the party in power, is almost certainly going to have a full on Primary Contest to pick their candidate.

Who would you see as the leading candidate to emerge?

I suspect that California Governor Gavin Newsom would be a strong possibility.

Surely Hillary won't try again.

If Andrew Cuomo hadn't been exposed for being a sexual harassment champion, he likely would have been a strong contender too.

Who do you see as a strong prospect of leading the Democrats into the 2024 election?

Given your posting history, you cannot hide your racist intent here.

Immediately improving his chances to run as a Republican for sure.

Gonna have to see if this account suddenly became sctive again. Seems like someone new to P&N and yet has thousands of posts. Always a strong indicator of a compromised account.

If you hadn't started your post with such nonsense, it might be a good thread on " If Biden doesn't run, who will or should the Dems go with?"

Biden at his worst is still a lot more coherent than Trump at his best. However 2 years is a long time and when someone does the actual job of President like Biden is demonstrably doing, it ages them faster it seems.

I have to admit, great way to start a troll thread.
I'm deadly serious and history will almost certainly prove my predictions on Biden and Harris not being the candidate, correct.

I'm not saying the Democrats can't win, just ruling out either of the current top two as being the Presidential candidate for the party in 2024.

Biden’s approval rating has improved significantly in recent months. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the candidate.

He’s proven to be far more intelligent and far more emotionally stable than the previous guy, so he has that going for him as well.

Such denial in here. Biden clearly has cognitive issues that are related to age. That's no hate on the guy, he's just damn near dead. It happens to all of us.

Who's going to run against a youthful and clever DeSantis in 2024?

DeSantis’ greatest fear isn’t the Democratic nominee. It is Trump. Even if DeSantis wins the nomination, Trump will haunt every aspect of his campaign.

While the dementia thing is you wishcasting for some bizarre reason your predictions are also giving off signs of conservative media brain worms.

If Biden decides not to run the most likely answer is a Democratic governor of a purple state, not the governor of a super blue state.

It’s weird how people have been claiming this for the past three years and despite their predictions of Biden’s brain falling out or him dying or whatever during that time he’s won the democratic primary, won the presidency, and passed some of the largest, most consequential legislation in decades.

I guess you think this is Weekend at Bernie’s 3 or something but eventually you might want to consider you’re wrong.

If the leader of the most corrupt administration in history is nominated again it will be Biden

I personally think DeSantis is worse than Trump because DeSantis actually seems competent.

Oh this was about democrats. Won't matter who runs, I'll be voting against whoever the republican is. The person would have to be demanding that everyone has government required sex changes before I would vote for a republican these days.

Decisions like this are tough. Should I go ahead and <plonk> now or wait for the next stupid thread?
