Who was your little league team sponsored by?

lol coworker's friend found his little league jersey from back in the day in the closet: Front

only to find out they were sponsored by: click here

I offered him $200 for it he would not sell it.

edit: I was just thinking about how rare this is...how many players on a team? 15? Even if he sponsored a team for 10 years, that would be like 150 jersies out there. More likely than not it's probably just 15 assuming it was his kid's team and they wear the same jersey for 2 years.

We never had sponsors. We didn't get to keep our shirts. They were a durable material and were re-used every year. We sold candy to raise money for the league, but I don't think the league really had significant expenses. The fields were owned by the towns that the league covered (and in one case a church), and I think the league just paid a small amount to use them.

a local beef jerky company. which was awesome because we got all you could eat beef jerky after the game. and it was actually pretty damn good jerky.

It wasn't exactly a real sponsored team(none of the teams were), but I remember that one of them was Earl's T-Shirts. I found it funny... We were in like Neon Green T-Shirts with black letters that said, "Earls T-Shirts." lol... I think it was Earl... >_< I might be wrong! It was so long ago... I never really cared.

No little league for me.

But my elementary school science fair was sponsored by seagate 🙂

My first year I think it was one of the local crop insurance places. Can't remember the next couple. Popkess Mortuary sponsored us the year we won the championship (we were underdogs and had to beat the team that killed us 28-3 in the regular season). The next year they only had one team for the town, and we were undefeated going into the championship game and had to lose twice (4-3 both times in back to back games), which we did so we ended up second. We were sponsored by Stallbaumer Lumber that year.

McKenna Tile, hah, can't believe I remember that.

The OP doesn't have another friend that was sponsored by Lincoln S&L does he?

PAL (Police Athletic League)

There were actually two teams sponsored by PAL in my league. It was always fun trying to keep track of things when we played each other.

Our leagues didn't have sponsors. The parents paid some fees and paid for the uniforms and stuff.

Myer's Pizza in t-ball
Gross Lumber Co. 8-9
Stone Container 10-11
Shur-Fit 12-13
Some local tax service on the traveling teams later on that I forget.

We used the same uniform shirts for years but changed the logo's on the back in LL. The pants of course wore out quickly. I still have some of the logo's somewhere, they were really nice sewed on patches with embroidered logos. One of my coaches for Stone Container was my skilled trades chairman at work years later.

I think I still have the team pictures we got every year somewhere.
