This was in NY. NY is not a "left lane only for passing" state. As long as you're moving with the flow of traffic - and he was matching the speed of the semi - he was driving legally in the left lane. Like it or not, in NY, his actions were legal. If I were one of the cars impeded for the whole minute - I'd have been applauding the truck. F*** people on the road who drive like that car was driving.

Wasn't a company vehicle, guy probably has the minimum state coverage and is also likely to be, like most Americans, in debt up to his eyeballs. The judge could award the guy $1M and he'd be rather unlikely to see much more than the insurance payout. I've had friends go through bullshit like that. They won the settlement but still haven't seen a dime beyond the insurance.

And if I was one of the cars impeded while the truck impeded a guy driving like an idiot I would have pulled over. If I can't get far enough in front of people driving like that I will gladly let them get far enough in front of me so I am out of the area if and when said retard goes full retard.

I bet money the guy in the truck wishes he wouldn't have created the rolling roadblock and instead let the car pass.

It's not as if letting the Camaro pass would have slowed or affected the pickup truck driver's expected travel time in any way, so why not let the faster vehicle pass?

Ultimately, it was the Camaro driver who was more at fault, but the truck driver instigated/aggravated the situation by intentionally preventing the Camaro driver from passing.

Cops and highway patrol need to start ticketing people who cause unnecessary backups on the highway, whether intentionally or through oblivious driving.

Yes, please... The efficiency of driving, as a means of quickly getting from one place to another, would be increased dramatically if people actually focused on driving instead of however many other things their attention is on (phone, putting on make-up, eating, being old, etc.).

Before watching the video I assume it is the guy in the camaro.


Now that I have watched it haha. Fucking owned by the pickup. I actually did almost the same thing a year ago. Passing an 18 wheeler and some punk in a yellow camaro pulls the same trick so I speed up just enough to shut it down (not as aggressively as the pickup did). I then continue my pass and politely go back into the right lane. Camaro passes me cuts hard in front and turns on his wiper spray to get me. I had this all on dash cam but didn't bother doing anything with it.

That guy in the truck is pushing it though. At the end of the day you don't know if somebody is trying to get to the hospital for example. I blame this 70% camaro, 30 truck. Both ended up acting like assholes. The truck's initial
Block was clap worthy but then he just becomes a spiteful asshole. Even though he didn't cause the accident he must have known he was further aggravating a maniac behind him, so deserves some of the blame. Legal or not matching speed with a vehicle in the other lane is a dick move.

The only guy not at fault at all is the semi. He is trying to work and because of these two small docked idiots he is driven off the road.
