Who was the best member of Pink Floyd?

I voted for David Gilmour. While Roger Waters is/was amazing, I love the Post-Waters version of Pink Floyd, and Gilmour is a major reason for that.

Gilmour and Waters. Waters for songwriting, Gilmour for guitar and (to a lesser extent) writing.

Gilmour isn't just the Inheritor of Floyd: outside of Floyd, Gilmour has done some excellent playing with Kate Bush, Bryan Ferry, Berlin, Warren Zevon, Mason & Fenn, and on his 2 solo albums.

I agree that it's Gilmour and Waters together... the band's just not the same without both of them. The lyrics/guitar combo is gone.

Fvck Waters for parading around a shattered corpse of what used to be Pink Floyd trying to make money.

I think he's just pissed because his solo career fizzled while Gilmour had a bit of success and then big success with Pink Floyd in the late 80s.

The Pros and Cons of Hitchiking sucked!

I was referring to his "In the Flesh" tour.

Ah...well...Waters was a good lyricist but Gilmour, to me, was the heart of the band.

Now, excuse me while I go take in an amazingly colorful sunset tonight 😉

It absolutely did not suck, that's a good album. Amused to death is very good, and Radio KAOS is awesome
he has a very successful solo career
