I am posting this because I believe many people wants to understand how exactly the boot process for a CD is, and how to create one (instructions from M$ knowledge base).
The El Torito specification provides information for making a bootable CD-ROM, and the services a BIOS must provide to boot from a CD-ROM in the "El Torito" format.
Check this link from Phoenix Technologies (bios manufacturer). You can download many PDFs with PCs bios standards specifications.
Check this M$ link to learn "How to Create an El Torito Bootable CD-ROM"
Try also serching on YAHOO! combinations like "el torito bios".
Good bye, folks! Enjoy it!
