I got the creeps viewing that site.

I definitely feel indifferent about it. I guess it has its pros and cons, but has anyone actually succeeded in completing Cryonic suspension?

If there is a repost on this exact smae subject, I'm sorry I don't know. :D

"You know, most people want to live forever."
"Most people are idiots. Which is one of the reasons I don't."

I would love to live forever. When you've got everything going well for you, why would you want it to end?

I would like to live for 1000 years please, that'll do nicely....with ageing de-celerated down to 10% once you turn 16...that would be cool.

There's no time for us, There's no place for us
What is this thing that builds our dreams yet slips away from us
Who wants to live forever, Who wants to live forever....?

There's no chance for us, It's all decided for us
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us
Who wants to live forever, Who wants to live forever?
Who dares to love forever?... When love must die

But touch my tears with your lips, Touch my world with your fingertips
And we can have forever, And we can love forever
Forever is our today

Who wants to live forever, Who wants to live forever?
Forever is our today... Who waits forever anyway?

I think it would be amazing to come back after my children have passed on. To met with my legacy. To learn about my children's lives. If I could do that and then die of age catching up to me or illness I wouldn't care to much. In a sense I would feel like I was complete. Those are just my random thoughts on it.

Reminds me of the 1994 Miss America competition. Miss Alabama was asked "If you could live forever, would you want to, and why?"

Her answer:
"I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever."'

True story.

I want to live forever but I would want to be a vampire!

Really. But without the blood part. Not that it's gross or anything just mean. And you never know these days with the HIV. I would hate to live forever having the HIV. I just think it would be cool to see the technology that comes out. I don't want to miss space travel.

Eternity has one huge thing going against it; "Been there, done that." Eventually you'd be able to say that about everything. And you'd have to deal with idiot people making the same mistakes over and over, as human history has shown. Eventually it'd get quite boring and likely drive you mad. Probably how we can explain God.

Sure, I wouldn't mind a 10X extension on my lifetime, that wouldn't be so bad. Frankly, humans seem to deterioriate and croak just when they get things figured out.

Though if you want a cute novel on some of the fun possibilities of cryonics and suspended animation and other ways to cheat time, yayo, try finding a copy of A World Out of Time by Larry Niven. Gives some very interesting ideas on all kind of tricks to live forever.

I love God! He's so deliciously EVIL!

I definitely wouldn't want to live forever. Heck, I don't even think I want to live to be 80. The material world is cool and all, I just think there's more.

I wouldn't want to live forever. You'll never know what death is like. An extension of my life would be nice though.

BTW: Anyone ever watch "Death Becomes Her"?

I would want to live for a couple thousand years, if humanity doesnt destroy itself. There is soooo much knowledge one can persue. But after knowing everything or dabbling in a bit of everything, I would guess it would be boring.

I'd want to "live forever" if

1) The ability to kill myself still existed, should I decide after 242 yrs. I've had enough.
2) I'd have the vigor of someone in their 20's-30's for most of that timespan. If I'm in a wheelchair or need to eat through a straw, I don't think I'd care to do this for a couple hundred years.
