Who wants to be brave?

Not many brave people around, I suppose. 😛

Wish there was a more definite release date too, aside from later this week or soon.

I'll try these as well, but probably not tonight since I got massive hw to do. I'll report back when I get time to use em and see how they run.

Someone take Gothic 3 for a spin under Vista64 and tell me how that runs. G3 under Vista64, with the font and memory fixes, still runs very poorly with the 7.9 Cats. I don't want to revert to an earlier Catalyst because the 7.9s fixed an issue in another game.

The only Beta's I will ever test are Nvidia when I have an applicable card ( which isn't often ). I've had horrible luck with ATI's beta drivers and many times with thier standard drivers.

I can't use thier 7.8 and 7.9 drivers with my 9800 Pro for Win XP as they cause issues with most of my older games 🙁 I even tried some of the earlier 7.xx series drivers and haven't gotten the stability I am getting now with the 6.12 cat 🙁

If ATI had good driver support they wouldn't have such a hard time grabbing and holding onto market share : / We've seen what the latest drivers have done with thier HD2900's. You don't see that with Nvidia because they generally get thier shit iron'd out before innitial release, not 6 - 9 releases later like ATI.

I love ATI but I'm going to stick with my several release old habbit I've got with thier drivers tyvm.

You know, it did take Nvidia about 10 months to even have functioning Vista drivers at all? And SLI still doesn't quite work right under Vista.
