Who wants an Xmas bonus check when they can get a plastic fishtank instead? *UPDATED*

StageLeft

No Lifer
A friend of mine is waiting for a major bonus check but we feel it may not come to him...his boss did give him a fishtank yesterday for his desk (the fake ones with bubbles and plastic fish). He has 8 fish and has named them "contempt, envy, unhappy bobo, pissed off (PO for short) , and screwed, shuffled, dissatisfied, restless"

Just don't let it turn into a National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. You know, where Clark Griswold was expecting a bonus and put a down payment on a swimming pool, then if you've watched the movie, you know what happens.....

Sky, a bonus was part of his contract though - he took a low pay on the hopes (and promise if company did well) that he'd get a bonus, hes gonna approach boss today to see if company did well or not.

ahh thats not good, i dunno how my company is doing, but the next uh dividend check is coming in february. . but maybe we get bonuses, i dunno

hecubus got some edible cheetah speedos with the flavor saver in the rear for his bonus at the bondage store.

Well he just spoke to boss. Company is in debt, got some BS excuses; the company is small and will now become smaller as my buddy looks for a new job.

Nope he's still there, but he is now looking for a job as of 10 minutes ago. When he gets one he's taking off in a heartbeat, no looking back.

It is TRULY amazing how many companies there are in IT that are total jokes and constantly on the virge of going belly up. Many of these companies are run by idiots and still manage to scrape by. Its really funny. Everyone looking to make their buck in IT; so they start a company with hopes of getting rich but it just isn't really happening anymore. It takes hardwork, brains, and talent now - no more IPO and get rich even though your company doesn't really do anything.
