Who uses the Plextor Manager 2000? And why would you switch to another burning software?

This suits my basic needs and it is much better than the Adaptec software and faster too.

But why get another software for burning? And does the software have to be programmed to take advantage of the burnproof?

I only use the Plextor manual to burn my mp3s to an audio cd. For that it's intuitive and fast.

Adaptec was the burning software I used until I upgraded to Win2k. Now I use Nero.

Most CD burning programs support BurnProof out of the box (or out of the EXE file). My favorites are:

1) Nero
2) CDRWin
3) CloneCD
4) BlindRead/BlindWrite

1) for burning files/folders directly off of the HDD
2) for burning/creating bin/cue images
3) for copying CDs
4) for burning/creating bin/cue images when CDRWin won't cut it
