Are any people in here using PHPNuke for their web sites?
If yes, please post your URL because I would like to see how it looks like.
(Or post web sites from other people who use PHPNuke)
Also, is PHPNuke easy to install and configure? And do you like PHPNuke? Why or why not?

Thanks

I thought it would be more popular.
What about PostNuke, PHPWebSite, Scoop and others?

I'm a web designer with a pretty strong PHP background, and all I have to say is that using those "canned" websites results in just that -- a cookie cutter, canned, non-style website. Sure, the code may be pretty nifty, but seriously, learn a backend scripting language, learn some HTML and build your own site from scratch.

It will benefit you immensely.

randal is right.... I was using PHP website for a website I was doing for a student org... but it was hard try to get it to look the way I want to.. also it had features that I wanted but it didn't provide and it was beta so there were bugs...

also the cookie cutter effect, esp. the way the tables are layed out..

you can always learn PHP and do it all from the ground up.. or borrow some free scripts and string together your own website...
but even those free scripts don't work/look the way you want.... but it is a pain to write everything yourself, but its fun when it works

Thank you for your opinions.

I am not a web site designer and don't know anything about php so I
thought I first install PHPNuke or something similar to see how it works
and to learn something about php. Later I can always change the site
to something different, more unique. We'll see.

What are good free php script resources?
