Who uses leather cases on their cell phones?

It's time for a new cell carrier and phone. After 2 years with my current phone, its pretty beat up (dust inside screen, dents and scratches everywhere). For my next phone I'm contemplating whether I should get a leather case for it considering it's going to be a pretty nice phone and want to keep it that way. It's either a RAZR V3c, if I can wait that long for it, or a Moto E815.

So, let's see how many people use leather cases on their phones.

yeah, my SO bought them for our phones.

i think it's ok i guess, but more for protection purposes. i dropped it getting out of my car Saturday night, and it made it through the night laying in the driveway in the drizzling cold. not bad.

I have a leather case on my cell but not for the reasons listed above. Its on for protection. I drop it a lot.

Your poll needs a new option: "Yes. I got used to throwing my StarTac around and if I treat my new phone that way it will break so I need a leather case to protect the phone from what was previously considered reasonable care but now is considered abuse because the business/marketing majors in charge of cell phone design (the same one's who gutted the analog performance of cell phones because they personally are never more than a hundred yards from a Starbucks let along more than five miles from a tower) forget that real people who have real jobs don't want to have to worry about coddling their phones and don't view their phones as status symbols to be flashed while sucking donuts at meetings and so designed phones to be fashion accessories instead of useful and durable tools."

I just use the plastic holster. I've never had scratches on my phones, and I don't have to worry about lining them up right so I can use the Camera, buttons, etc.

And to the OP, just get the e815. And check out HowardForums.com for how to unlock the "hidden-by-Verizon" features. I love mine now that it functions properly. The RAZR's only feature that the e815 doesn't have is the anorexia.
