Who used to play pogs?

I just saw the word "slammer" and it reminded me of them. I remember wasting many hours in middle school on those things and haven't seen them in forever. Who else used to play those, and are they still around? Nostalgia time

Once, a friend of mine was hungry. He saw a group sitting around playing pogs. They had a bag of chips. He preceded to win all their pogs and trade them all back for the bag of chips.

Even got a 1/2" thick slammer that beeps and flashes when you use it.

I used to have several dozen of those. I never had the stupid ones, thankfully. All of mine were these awesome bug splats. Bugs that had been run over, squashed by a fly swatter, smashed on the windshield, etc.

i remember there were power rangers pogs thar were the sh!t in elementary school.

I used to play Pogs with my daughter back when she was about 6 or 7 years old or so.

We had quite a collection.

Pogs reminds me of tiddlywinks, which I used to really love, back in the stone age when I was a kid.

Oh man, I remember those... I had a couple, but my little sisters were really into it. I think the phase lasted all of 2 weeks or so... some "slammers" at the local card/pog/etc. shop went for crazy amounts of money, though.
