I did. I friggin hate getting up early on a Saturday morning and spending three hours in a room filling in ovals... but hey, I guess we all gotta do it some time. Anybody remember any questions they found particularly tough? The only one I remember was the one that said 2x + 3y + 3z = 16 & 2x + y + z = 10, what is x + y. Turns out x + y = 3, but only too late did I realize that.

Oh well...

I know a few people that did but I didn't. is the SAT math section really easier than the one on the PSAT?

SAT = scholastic aptitude test.

it's a test that tests your verbal/reading and math skills - it's required for most colleges. the highest score is 1600 - 800 on each section (verbal-math).

Personally, I've always thought the PSAT was easier. I think we get those scores back pretty soon, speaking of that.

And as far as whether or not I'm sure that was the question, not positive, but that's what I recalled...

I took the SAT II's today.. the school I took it at has lost all of my respect, they were completely dissorganized, lost my name on their lists, and gave us 5 fewer minutes on the writing section. The lady addmited to that last part, I wrote down her exact quote "I don't think 5 minutes will make a huge difference in your scores."

The SAT1C math had some tricky questions.. I was pissed about that too, ended up not answering 3 of them.. crap! (got 750 on SAT1 math)

Baaah.. I'm still sour about the whole experience. Anyone have any connections on getting into Carnegie Melon? :)

The father of a kid who goes to my high school is the head of the Robotics Institute at CMU, but that doesn't help me or you cause I don't really like him. I'm sure some of the Admissions people are corrupt though... Good Luck!

tomcat: Having a stupid proctor is a serious situation. At my high school, one proctor ( who wasn't a regular teacher ) gave the students 5 minutes more than the allotted time because he misread the time. As a result, the results of that test was thrown out for the class that the proctor was watching over. Those students had to retake the test.

BTW, he got notified by the SAT board that his test was thrown out around the time that people started to get their results, so all that time he thought he was waiting for his results, little did he know his test was thrown out.

eww.. SAT... I took that at the very end of my junior year in high school. I got sh!t-faced drunk and stoned the night before, got 1.5 hours of sleep before the test.. literally slept between the sections of the test and had to have the proctor dude wake me up before we went on.

...

and still made a 1360

SAT used to be Scholastic Aptitude Test.
But now it's a more PC: Scholastic ASSESSMENT Test because apparently too many stupid people complained.

Valhalla1, I was completely sober and..... I managed to beat you by all of 10 points!

This is perfect example of why remaining clean is greatly overrated.

(and I'm sure you would have gotten an 1800 if you were in the same boat as me) ;)
