Who thinks we'll see ipod firmware 2.3 at the Mac Expo in Jan?

I for one would be definately willing to pay for an upgrade so I could get flash and google street view on my Ipod touch. Add in cut and paste and the ability to connect to a hidden SSID for wireless and we'd be golden!

A guy can hope...

I love my Touch almost as much as my PC, but there are some things I want to see added in the new firmware, as said already copy/paste, Flash would be kick ass too. I have little gripes with it like when I'm playing a playlist and turn it sideways I wish it would only show the coverflow for the albums/songs in my playlist not every damn thing on my iPod. And this is a REALLY petty bitch, but when I double tap to make the cover flip over, I wish when I double tapped a 2nd time to get it to go back to the cover side it would flip the other way and not the same way back. Maybe a retarded wish but it would look a little cooler to have it do a full circle instead of a flip flop. Oh and the last thing, when I make a playlist right on my Touch let me re-order the songs! If this is possible I sure as hell can't figure it out :)

I'm hopeful we're finally going to see Push Notification support; I'm not at all happy that didn't make September like it should have.

And what's with everyone wanting Flash? Do you guys realize how CPU intensive (and user-intrusive) that is? Your iPhone's CPU is going to melt in a pool of agony and the battery is going to have the electrical capacity of a wet sponge after a few minutes of Flash.:p

Originally I really wanted flash support, but considering how shitty Flash runs on OSX (even after the latest update), I agree that it would be too much for the phone to handle.

I have a fairly capable system (Macbook 2.2ghz w/ 4gb RAM) and watching a flash movie (Hulu, YouTube, etc..) shoots my CPU up to 70-80%, causing my fans to whirl up for the entire time I'm watching. I think Flash needs to be optimized for OSX before its made for the iPhone, it just runs much better on windows still.
