Jeb seems to be coming off the fence from some of his statements here and there recently.

But he's pro-immigration. Never gonna happen.

If Romney said he was going to close some of the hedge fund and other 1% tax loopholes, take a harsher stance on China, and laid off of the religious/uber-right bullshit (rape, abortion...etc), he might have a chance to win.

I think enough of the centrists have had enough of the far-left bullshit. I know I have.

Paul Ryan is already running. He even has the money-laundering personal philosophy book out. If Hillary doesn't run, and I don't think she will, the Dems are going to have a hard time coming up w/ a viable candidate. Janet Napolitano, I guess.

I agree about the fresh face. We need rid of the old establishment, where repubs will be dems and dems will be repubs, once they've lied their way into office.

Dear GOP. If you're reading posts like this to help you decide who you might choose to run in the presidential election, compuwiz1 left out the MOST important quality: not batshit insane. E.g., no more Sarah Palins, etc. While electable in small areas where there are a large number of uneducated or batshit insane voters, they're wholly unelectable by the nation at large.

Part of the Republican problem is their primaries are set up to be bloodbaths'. I know they have reined in the debates & tightened the timeline, I don't see a successful candidate that appeals to many wanting to get bloodied in them.
The Paul, Cruz, Bachmann of the party excel at these battles but end up being weak general election candidates.

The question I have is; exactly what will the GOP run on? Their only record is obstruction, their only ideas are anything to be against what Obama is for.

So when a voter asks, "why should we vote for you or your party after years of doing nothing, not even bringing your own ideas to the table?". When and if they give an answer that actually includes real ideas, they will be asked, "why haven't you proposed that ever?", they will blame Obama and the dems and when called out on their obstruction and asked exactly what would be different, their silence will be deafening!

I see that as a positive, if you don't know what to do, don't do anything.
There is also the simple fact that sometimes you can't improve anything, all you can do is try and keep someone else from fucking things up worse than they already are. The entire goal of government should be to not make things worse. Forget trying to improve anything, they can't do it, if everyone from the dog catcher to the president would just wake up every morning and go to work with the goal of not fucking something up we'd be a lot better off.

Romney or another Corporatist-Republican, doesn't really make any difference. They are all serving Wall Street, might as well run a Wall Street guy and be honest about it instead of pissing on the American people and telling us it's raining.

As a moderate conservative I've had enough of the far right bullshit. We need a good candidate (3rd party) that represents the moderate/centrists of the country and tell the big two to stuff it.

I certainly agree, it's why I mentioned they need to stop with the idiotic wedge issues and mentioning "rape" every 5 minutes. Dodge the fucking question or whatever you need to do. And enough of the religious right pandering.

I know what you mean. We have tons of far-left bullshit but we have never come anywhere even close to a progressive government. The pendulum keeps swinging from right of center to way right of center. It makes ya sick.

To me Romney is a good guy however that does not make him the right guy to be President.
I wonder if he runs again will a tax return be released and was the extra tax he opted to pay on his late presented 2011 return amended to get him back to his correct tax rate which was under 15%?
Romney is too much of a CEO he is fine with making hard or unpopular decisions but he hates to be called out on them. That is why he changes political positions so frequently.

He did alright in Mass, and being a CEO type that could be a tool under his belt to help create jobs in this country. Not this Stimulus/cash for clunkers/shovel ready jobs bullshit.

I dont think that Rand Paul will get the GOP nomination if Romney is up there and the latter isnt smart enough to beat HC. It will be one ugly campaign if Romney is up against Hillary Clinton. I think they'd curse each other out and maybe even try to hit each other. I think there will be at least 3 candidates in at least one major debate in 2016 if Romney gets the GOP nomination then. I think it will look like the election of 1828 with 4 candidates. I want myself to have a myocardial infarction and to permanently die from it all in May '16. DAMN IT! I just wish I could independently act in my own rational self interest for the rest of my life. I hate being like Romney, Stalin, Aaron Burr, Carter, or Washington. SHIT! I wish I was a more obsessive liar and not a compulsive one. i have a huge skeleton closet. FUUUUUUUUUCK!

Rand Paul and Paul Ryan are too much like Hillary Clinton psychologically for them to run against only each other. The whole system is engineered by smart people who have to have fall guys.

How has the Grand Old Party made things worse when it has been Democrat controled for a long time and now a divided house? The Dems didn't even want to pass reforms on the GSE's and look what happened; the *bubble burst*. These fuckers give two shits about you and are foucused on partision politics and climate change bullshit. Don't belive me? Why hasn't Keystone gone through yet? Energy WILL create jobs and the Dems don't want to do shit.

But if anything I believe in term limits.

Ironically I voted for him to be Governor, he did well but not great. He did blow a hole in the states budget with tax cut however it did increase jobs. His health plan has turned out well.

I don't believe his hydraulics will allow him to run, but to move at a walking pace of three miles per hour.
