Why would the repubs want a loser? My philosophy is once one has failed on this level, it is best to move on in life. This choice is made much more clearly with Romney.

Well, they put Nixon back up for reelection and he won the 2nd time around.

Of course, he turned out to be a lying cockmongler.

Wait, you meet Jesus?! And he was a Liberal! Holy shit this I did not know! Wrong Paul is an Independent.
I dont really know whether Jesus existed but if he did he was definitely a libertarian. God is definitely a classical liberal. Laurence Vance (sic perhaps) and Chuck Baldwin are better sources than I am.

Ron Paul is of independent mind and dependent heart but made decisions by the latter. Ron Paul does not like domination just like Rothbard, Jefferson, Van Buren, and Jesus didnt. I dont know whether Ron Paul is registered as a member of Lincoln's party. He is a libertarian and is a constitutional confederalist. He cant be an executioner.

I still think it's going to be Jeb vs. Hillary. Hillary has made every indication that she is running except for the actual announcement. Democrats have pretty much accepted that she will get the nomination because Hillary has crowded everyone out. As much as I'd love a Brian Schweitzer or Elizabeth Warren to run and shake things up, any other people running will just try to vie for a VP pick. Biden is half heartedly trying to pretend to run but there really isn't much support for him.

Republicans will do as they always do. They'll make a fuss about ideological purity, the polls will dance around a bit, but when they go into the voting booth they vote for the most electable establishment guy, aka Jeb Bush. Rand Paul is trying to position himself as the establishment candidate, but he needs more time to distance himself from his batshit crazy positions of the past. Maybe by 2020, he'll have aged enough to fit into that category.

Bush v. Clinton will give America a collective groan as the media will endlessly talk about the old Clinton and Bush policies, which probably will benefit Clinton as any comparison that doesn't argue that she'd be Obama's 3rd term will be positive for her. America will vote for a Bill Clinton 3rd term by a decent majority, probably even bigger than Obama in 2012 since she's going to put a lot more states in play.

edit: Christie had a chance to shake things up, but his past is starting to eat him now and while Republicans may have forgiven his 2012 sins if he were still nationally popular, they aren't going to stick their neck out for him now that he is damaged goods.
