So here I am with a usb wifi adapter on my head. Why you ask? Because the one for this side of the building is down. So in order to get a signal from the one on the other side of the building I had to plug in the usb wifi adapter and raise it as high up as I can. My wife finds it humorous that I have a wifi adapter sitting on my head. The things I'll do for my anandtech habit. :disgust:
 
Digicam is down in the car and it's raining out. Besides I'm afraid if I put it down and come back I won't get a signal again. 🙁

By the way am I doing bad things to my brain having this adapter on top of my head?

Yeah you're right she's probably expecting me to get off these forums and give her a back massage, not get a camera out of the car in the rain.
I think the adapter is kind of starting to get hot. My head feels warm. 😕

Does your laptop have 802.11G? My apartment mates don't get any connection with their 802.11B but I can get a low signal from the campus wireless router. Connected at 5.5 mbps right now, now too bad.

You should complain to the Hotel, they would probably compensate somehow
 
I stayed at a Holiday Inn for two week and their wireless access blew goat nads. It was barely ever available and when it was, the signal would fade and drop connection all the damn time.
