Who taught you how to play Chess?

We've got the Chess v Stratego thread over here, so I figured I'd ask this question... Who taught you players how to play? I make a prediction that for most, it was their pops... It was for me. It was honestly kind of sad the day I started to consistently beat him.

The number probably isn't right, but the program was definitely Chessmaster.

elementary school, then i went on to win the state 2 minute championship... 🙂 my proudest accomplishment...

In a chess club in the 5th grade. We were taught by a "chess master", but I was one of the worse players in the club :-/

What else are you going to do in a school of 150 students. (Not in the grade, but in the HS).

My dad tought me. He was big into chess back in the 80's. I never really got way into it.
