Not PC games, but I've been going through the 16 bit era Castlevania titles for the first time, as it wasn't a series I played growing up. Rondo of Blood and Bloodlines were great, but IV was disappointing.
Civilization II
So I've heard, I just don't see it. Seems like every death during the levels was from some cheap enemy placement designed to knock you into a pit. Then when you reach the boss, it's mostly a single pattern that requires little more than constant whip attacks and a few jumps. The other two games didn't have the constant cheap deaths, the enemies themselves posed the challenge during the levels, and the bosses had interesting and varied patterns. I could go on, but it just didn't work for me.Da fuq? No way, IV is the best Castlevania if not one of the best. Awesome controls, music, and ambiance.
