I'm still living off of my parents @ 18. I'm in my second year of college (75% of it is paid for by scholarships, the rest of my expenses are paid for by myself) and have a full time job.
Parents offer no assistance with education but offer me a place to stay. So, I live with parents and pay for my own education. Moving out in December/January though and I CANNOT WAIT.
i'm actually moving back in with my parents in a couple weeks. i'm taking a break from school to focus on music, and i need the money savings. the upside is they're putting me on the oppisite side of the house from the rest of the rooms, and i won't have any of those stupid high school kid rules i had before. i'll basically do my own thing. so hopefully it won't be too bad. and i actually like my parents, so no problems in that respect.
Yup still living with the parents a year after graduating from college. Saving the money from my full-time job. Its great since I dont have an exact plan for the rest of my life yet.
How about an option that parents live with their kid? My friend bought a house after he turns 18. He got kicked out of HS and work hard for himself and save up the money for a house. His parents end up moves in with him from an apartment.
Attending what you'd call University, living in a kind of dorm(You are mroe independent). Paying for education thru loans and ..whatever it's called when the government gives you money. Incidently, the loaning is done from the government as well, as per standard procedure.
I am going on to five years of college and I live with my parents. Better get to sleep early tonight, I will have to get up at 6am tomorrow (the city bus routes were rerouted over the summer). I am to cheap to pay for car insurance much less an apartment.
I've lived with my parents since my h.s. graduation (2 years ago), and I'm graduating this next year - technically, I do still live with my mom. However, after I graduate and go to law school, I will probably be on my own for good.
