It's just my girlfriend and I in our rowhome. Since the nights are beginning to get hot, our AC gets turn on. When the nights are cool, we usually leave the bedroom door open to hear if someone breaks in or whatever. Well, with the AC running, you can't hear a damn thing and having the door close is even worse. I'm paranoid like that. I have a 9mm under the bed, but i guess i wouldnt be able to react. Well, my friend suggested I lock the door. I never liked the idea cuz I always think of "what if." Maybe I should do it tonight.

not so bad to sleep with your door locked but your best bet is to get an alarm system :)

One of my dogs is about 100 lbs and would love the chance to eat anyone who broke in. I sleep like a baby. I always have, though.

Anybody who can get through the front door wont be stopped by your bedroom door. Especially if all they wanted to do was kill the both of you.

I need a dog, and I'm renting the house so an alarm is out of the question. however, the windows are all barred up! LOL

It's south philadelphia! anyways, we need a dog so that should help us. I only close the door when the AC is on.

If you want to know the truth, 85% of ATOT sleeps with the bedroom door locked. It makes it harder for mom to catch them killing kittens.

You're right, but atleast I would hear someone trying to break in. Assuming someone got past the front or back door, they would take some time getting through the bedroom door and thats when "Mr. Springfield" greets them.

If they wanted to cap both of you, they can just kick the door in and shoot both of you in the face. Atleast thats what I would do...

All I am saying is that it would give me time to react as supposed to someone just walking through the house w/o my knowledge.
