Who should I get to install my Sirius receiver?

I just got the car yesterday, and I really don't want scratches on my dash or something else screwed up in the car. Where should I go to get a Sirius receiver installed?

yeah, i'd probably do it yourself, just read on the internet somewhere on how to take the IP apart.

i wouldn't trust some 17 year old kid working in a garage to take the same amount of care as i would on my car.

If you're really concerned about the care taken on the inside of your vehicle, take the time to learn how to do it yourself. Easy as that.

Otherwise, it's a risk. There is no "one" place that anyone can suggest you take it to. People vary from shop to shop. You never know what kind of technician you're gonna land.

If they damage my car, they will be responsible for having it fixed, correct?

Sure, if they put hole in your window or something. Don't expect to get compensated because of a scratch here or there.

Like I said, it sounds like you baby your car. Why risk it in the hands of a stranger to begin with? You need to buckle down and learn how to do it. If you scoff at that, then your situation is hopeless. Flip a coin.

Yep, youve got two choices:

Do it yourself and do it right, or pay and trust someone else to do it for you, with no guarantee theyll do it right.

i am in the same boat. I want to get my XM radio hardwired into my stero becuase i hate the FM transmitter and I also want to be able to put my MP3 player in as well. I would do it myself but I have NO CLUE how to do it and woudl be scared of braking it. I went to CC to see how much it would cost and they said 150..that seems a bit much to me..but i have no clue where else to go.
