Whoever says 'Shell/Texaco' can suck it... I will NEVER go to a Shell again. :grumble;

So who has the best gas?

BP/Amoco
Citgo
Mobil
any others.....

I would totally go with Marathon but they dont have a big enough presence over here for me to depend on them when i need em....

FYI:

Marathon gets their Fuel from the same source as Shell/Texaco

Hess, Sunoco, Mobil/Exxon do it for me. But I also trust the Getty around the corner.

They should test for this sh!t before selling it. Every Shell/Texaco in town has shut down, I cant even imagine how many people are affected by this. We've got them all over town.

$600 in repairs to every single person affected is a pretty fvkin big 'mess up'

Marathon has their own refineries...

I am sure that many of these stations get their fuel from the same source.

how do you know they didn't test it? maybe their IT systems messed up. maybe it was out of reach? they'll investigate it and find out what's wrong. jeez. don't worry, shell is a big company, they'll take care of your car. what happened sucks, but sh!t happens.

I thought everyoen knew all the gas is the same.
It all comes from a terminal somewhere near where you live.
There are 2 grades, and it is mixed at the pump to change the octane.
Some companies add their own additive when it is in the truck, but every brand in you area probably comes from one or 2 different terminals.
I know this because I have some friends that own gas stations and the main terminal.
In fact, you can go to the terminal and see the different trucks filling up from the same pump.

Do some reading in the forums here

Chevron is pretty much the consensus for best gasoline, but you will be unhappy to know that Shell is a close second.
