What blows me away that there are parents out there that are loony enough to give a 17 year old kid a $45,000 car in the first place. Does this kid have even a remote chance of turning out normal.:roll:

I'm sure the kid was going to get a good cut from the chop shop. He would have nearly half the money needed to buy a used GT.

I asked one of my lawyer friends if this kid could get off considering he's committed multiple felonies. He said by the very fact the kid was released to his mother speaks volumes.

I then asked what would happen if it had been some lower middle class smuck doing this scam to trade up from a Honda Civic to an Acura TL. He said his arse would be going upstate or at least juvie . . . depending on the state.
