Who Ships faster Buy.com or Amazon???

Wanted to order something and both places have it for same price but last time i ordered a book from Amazon took awhile how is Buy.com???
 
It depends on your geographical location. I live in Dallas and buy.com has a depot here so anything I order today shipped ground will be here tomorrow. So it all depends.
 
Buy.com has always shipped my orders (assuming the item was shown to be in stock) within 48 hours, and normaly the next day.
 
Everything I have ordered from Amazon they have upgraded to 2-3 day priority mail for free. Have yet to buy anything from Buy.com.
 
Buy.com Screwed up my order 🙁 BIG TIME!!!!
I ordered a protable scanner(monday 10/30) from them and was in-sotck (usually shipped in 24-28hr). 3 days later i checked online (looking for the tracking number) and found the damn thing is still in process. so then I called and the CSR told me warehouse is close and he'll inform them to ship the item ASAP (friday 11/3). Also promised to ship it next day air for free since i when through so much hassle. So thinking that the scanner was shipped, i checked online (monday 11/6), to found my order was cancelled (I say WTF?) This got to be some stupid CSR working for Buy.com. Now today, I called again and was told i had to reorder the damn thing and wait for it. Oh i forgot to mention this is for my company and my boss needs this scanner for his trip. Damn i hope this thing gets here on time. 🙁 else i'll be screwed.

Buy.com has some of the fastest shipments(1-2 days). It took Amazon 4 days to ship my book here.
 
Buy.com has always shipped my stuff in 48 hours or less. They have a warehouse in California so I'm pretty sure thats that cause of it. The only problem I ever had with Buy.com was when they a computer glitch and my Plextor was shown as not purchased, therefore making a small delay, but they fixed that with free one day shipping. 🙂
 
Buy.com must have a warehouse close to me because everything I have bought before 2:00 pm comes the next day. Amazon on the other hand takes forever to ship. It is not just the distance from from my house in Amazon's case. I ordered a 19" monitor Friday morning, and they just shipped it today (Tuesday). I'll probably get it next week if I am lucky. I have waited well over two weeks to get orders from Amazon. I guess it is the luck of the draw.
 
So how long do you think it will take to ship a monitor to me in Houston? Which place will be faster?

I have a friend that ordered twice from Buy and it took 4 days. He lives in Austin.
 
Shouldn't really compare Amazon's ship time for books or CD's to ship time for computer goods (either from BUY or Amazon). Reason being that the computer goods come from Ingram normally, and they have a decent fulfillment system in place. Books, CDs, etc., are a whole different story, totally diferent distributor(s), and their systems aren't as well done as Ingram's. As example, books, CDs, etc. from BUY take forever to ship also, it's not just Amazon. If Amazon uses Ingram, their ship time for computer goods ought to be within a day or two of BUY's ship time.
 
Its for a monitor I dont want to wait a week and half to get it I live in AZ so Im not sure who to order it from. I sold that Mustanggt of mine 7 months ago but still stuck with the name LOL
 
Amazon is in seattle washington I thought this thread would get locked cause wasnt sure if i posted it in right forum lol
