The anchorman from the CBC warned that the images were shocking but I was still taken aback by the footage of that young Palestinian crouched with his father behind some sort of container during the riots in Jerusalem. Neither appeared armed and neither was making a threatening gesture. They were trying to hide. The young boy was screaming in fear. Then came a hail of bullets and when the dust started to settle, there, on his father's lap, was a dead boy, killed instantly. Israeli authorities have also confirmed that during the riot yesterday, there were snipers deployed with conventional ammunition to pick up rioters, no rubber bullets here.

That seems outrageous to me and I am quite certain that events will escalate now. Whoever ordered those shootings (murder in the case of the young boy) may well have doomed any chance at peace in that troubled land for a long, long time.

:(:(:(

I saw, but I guess this is humanity for you, we are cruel beasts.

It's said that if they nuked Jerusalem, muslims, jews, and christians would fight over the crater.

Still, you have to wonder why the father took the boy to a riot in the first place. This brings back memories of Rules of Engagement with Tommy Lee Jones and Sam Jackson.

I keep thinking of Star Trek VI:

<< Isn't this what you wanted, Kirk? No peace in our time? Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of war! >>

Remember that time when a terrorist tied bombs around an innocent woman's neck and asked for (not sure what they asked for) and they gave it to him and he left in a van. The bomb squad attempted to defuse the bomb, but it blew up, it decapped the woman's head and blew off the bomb defuser's arms. sad... :(

I think you keep thinking of Shakespeares Ceasar, not Star Trek :p

("Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of war!" is a line from Ceaser. I think. If im correct I wish my English teacher last year could teach EVERY class of mine, because I remember everything from that class. EVERYTHING. And I normally can't remember what I did is a class a week before. He is the best teacher.)

In star trek, the Klingons think Shakepeare is Earth's greatest export (Except for Samurai weapons, perhaps :D )
