Who said you couldn't turbo a 350Z?? :-) GReddy 350Z TT w/ 345 HP/340 lb-ft; $3,700

Bah, its no Supra killer...

EDIT: Those hp numbers are measured at the wheels by their equipment...I would trust GReddy more than I'd trust Nissan! 😉

244 at the wheels stock? thats about right, i would say. getting another 100 RWHP out of such a high-strung engine is pretty decent, i'd say

I already feel like my Z has endless power, I wonder what it'd be like with a TT? There's been a lot of talk of turbo kits on the 350Z forums, but I doubt I'd ever get one...

Not a bad price for the power increase though.

Wow...thats pretty good..on only 5.6lbs of boost too.
You know what this means tho, that twin turbo kit MIGHT fit in a Maxima or Altima...😀 😀

btw...345rwhp is around 407 crank hp if you assume a driveline loss of 18%. Not bad. The price seems right too (assuming they give you the guages, boost controller, etc..)

im curious what type of car do you drive?

A lowly '95 Camry LE 😉

But I do on occasion get to pilot or sit shotgun in some uber exotic machines😉

I wouldn't put much boost in an Aluminum block engine. Possible reliability issues ?

He drives a Toyota Camry and doesn't even change his own oil.

I dunno, there are a few VQ30DE running around with 400fwhp (on Maximas) on stock engine internals. I think they love boost. However I think 450fwhp is the said to be the general limit on a 3L VQ30DE before you start breaking things inside the motor. I know of one SC Maxima that is running 15lbs of boost with nitrous and ran a 11.2s..the engine is stock internally and still running. Its his daily driver.

Why bother when I can get Toyota to do it for $14 in 20 minutes while I sip on free coffee and doughnuts? 😀

how long has he had it boosted ? that's the question.

Also, I used to change the oil in my old '87 Sunbird and helped my dad change the oil in his '94 and '97 Explorers. It's not that I CAN'T or don't KNOW HOW to change oil, it's just that I'd rather pay them to do it. 3 doughnuts and a cup of coffee later, I'm back on the road😛

Since the last two years I think?? I know a guy personally that put a 75-shot of nitrous on his 95 Max after it already had 300k kms on the engine....still runs fine today. There are many SC Maximas that have been superhcarged for over a year or two..and now the turbo-Maxs are popping up.

Dude, its a VQ35DE in the 350Z. I think that its got higher compression than the VQ30DE as well. 11.1:1 I drive a 2k3 Maxima so I'm definately stoked that they've come out with a VQ35DETT solution.

I know its a VQ35De in the Z, but its still the same architechture/design as the VQ30DE. Are you sure the compression ratio on the VQ35DE is 11.1:1? I'm doubting that, but I don't know any better. Btw join forums.maxima.org since you own a 2k3!
