NO GOOGLING/BINGING/DUCKDUCKGOING/(are there others?). Be advised the poll is public.

But what I am suggesting is this - secularists are wrong when they ask believers to leave their religion at the door before entering into the public square. Frederick Douglas, Abraham Lincoln, Williams Jennings Bryant, Dorothy Day, Martin Luther King - indeed, the majority of great reformers in American history - were not only motivated by faith, but repeatedly used religious language to argue for their cause. So to say that men and women should not inject their "personal morality" into public policy debates is a practical absurdity. Our law is by definition a codification of morality, much of it grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Based on the OP I'll guess Clinton. Around the same time she also said that she wanted "physical barriers" along the US-Mexican border and lamented how Mexico creates conditions conducive to their citizens coming here (aka a more nuanced and accurate way of saying "Build the wall, Mexico is sending them here"). All politicians have their "public opinion and private opinion", Clinton wasn't that unique in that respect, though it made for great hitpiece material.

Relligion has ALWAYS just been used a fodder to justify whatever it is as far as the agenda they are trying to push. What better way to get people to vote for you then convincing people that their religion means they should vote a certain way? It's all just a way of deceiving people, which is what religion is an of itself.... Deceiving people into believing bullshit.

Take it best from George Carlin

It's an interesting speech to look back upon as our new atheist President is sworn in.
