Apples and oranges how? Maybe you're just reading too much into the scene? I've seen the movie before and didn't know he was a sex offender until this thread, but I've never had the idea that the scene was sexual in any way.

My point, however, is that regardless of what the guy does in his personal life, it shouldn't affect the quality of a movie he's made.
