Ok, quick trip down nastaltia lane. Who remembers the movie Powder? The kid who was a walking lightning rod, screwed up all things electrical and electronics, and was endowed with uber cool powers? 🙂

Too bad he got eletramacuted at the end. 😀
 
I thought that movie was stupid. No one could be THAT smart.

hehe, it was on TV a while back....and it was repeated. a lot. When my parents know the title of a movie that wasn't a huge blockbuster in the last 10 years, there's something wrong. 😉

And yeah, in the last scene, he starts running into the field towards the oncoming thunderstorm, and eventually attracts all the lightning bolts and is transformed into "energy"...or at least that's what I remember.

Why is it, only freaks are named Jeremy? It's like, the number one "misunderstood will have to sacrifice himself for the greater good" or "Dorky-geeky guy who ends up killing himself" name.

I mean, WHERE ARE MY ROLE MODELS?!
 
um, you realize the guy who directed it was a convicted same-sex child molester? that when the camera lingers on "Powder's" wet body, the director had a stiffy, right? still think it's a cool movie? it's the director's own little kiddie porn.

I saw that in a theater a long time ago. All I remember was that he was very very pale and at some point guys pushed him in a mud puddle to give him some color. My memory sucks. 😛
 
Regardless of the directors sexual depravity, it was still an interesting flic. I liked the movie, not the director.

I remember the transferring the memories / thoughts / pain from the Deer to the Hunter. That was a cool scene. Too bad the director was / is a monster.
