Who recurited me to TA Cube?

Hi, I got this thing installed and running for over three weeks now. What do i do now and where can i check my stats. and who do i email my hardware info.

thanks

If you are a member of Team Anandtech, you can check your SETI stats here: Nexus9

Just look for your name on the list to see your current stats, and you can click on your name to see what you have done since you became a member of the team.

p.s. ARE you a member of Team Anandtech? I didn't see your name on the list.. 🙂

EDIT: /me borrows a fresh trout from a friendly neighbor on the forums 🙂 (you know who you are) and slaps himself repeatedly! I must REALLY be tired to have missed that you specifically mentioned TA Cube.. 😱

Hi La_Man,

I did. 🙂

According to my pen-and-paper list, I did send you an invitation to join TA Cube. That was before the Private Message history was flushed. We still do not have access to that bunch of messages but Zuni says they will be accessible soon.

Thanks for installing the Borg client. The client fetches and flushes blocks automatically when you're connected. In case this stalls (it happens rarely), you can simply right-click on your system-tray cow and click on the 'update buffers' option twice a week just to make sure. That updates your buffers manually.

The TA Cube specific disk is entirely preconfigured. Your blocks are automatically credited to TA Cube (The BORG!) and therefore to Team AnandTech. Nothing to enter. The client adds nothing except the position & size of its window to the registry, so uninstalling it is as simple as deleting the rc5 folder.

If you install the client on any other machine, please make sure that you have permission.

I will need you to confirm your cpu type and MHz so that you can be listed in my herd.

In joining TA Cube, you forfeit individual stats in favour of the kickass Borg stats, currently ranked #45 participant in the world.

Cheers and welcome to Team AnandTech. Your contribution greatly helps our effort. 🙂

Denis

Hey Dennilfloss I am also part of the herd I noticed just today that I now have twice as many work units as before. In fact this morning I had only a total of 500, and it was gonna get rid of those soon, and now I have like a total of 1000. Wasup with that is it gonna be that way all the time.

Are you talking about work units to be flushed (your buff-out) or left to crack (your buff-in)? The way that the Borg disk is configured, you should fetch 2000wu. Just in case the automatic fetch/flush does not work for you (due to dsl settings, firewall, etc...), I recommand that you manually flush 2-3 times a week. Try a manual flush and tell us the result.

Yup. 500 is correct for the broadband I believe. I have the dialup. That one is set at 2000. I have increased mine to 3000. 😉

Yeah it was at 500, and now it's at 1000 it's on DSL, and my firewall doesn't mess with rc5. I don't need to manually flush it does it it's fetching more then before is what I mean. Not a big deal just seemed weird that's all.

I dunno what's going on but is sounds like your computer is simply hungry for more blocks. Bwahahahaha! 🙂
